The Center for Chamber Music Scholarship Award

Each spring, The Center for Chamber Music offers a scholarship competition for high school-age musicians who are interested in pursuing careers in music.

The Award
The Center for Chamber Music award winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship award. The money is to be used to further the winner's music education. Additional prizes may be given at the discretion of the judges.

Who is Eligible
Any high school student with classical or jazz music training, instrumental or vocal, is eligible. Small chamber and jazz ensembles are welcome, as are students from out-of-town.

Winner Selection
After submitting an application, applicants will audition on Wednesday, May 13th, 2009 before a panel of judges. The audition time and location will be announced. Please limit your performance to approximately ten minutes, and include at least two different selections. You must provide your own accompanist.

Your application must be received no later than Sunday, May 6th, 2009. When your application is received, we will notify you of the audition time and place.
